Specialized Intelligence Service

Streaming Integrity

Forensic-grade detection of Spotify streaming fraud and the networked operators behind it — using BADS-Audio, the same investigative rigor Cyberharpoon applies to stock-market bot manipulation.

Overview

Spotify's own enforcement can catch flagrant per-account botting — and it has, with per-track distributor fines and algorithmic blacklisting. What it does not surface is the networked operator running dozens of farm accounts as one business, the human vendors selling the bot streams, or an evidence package usable in a royalty dispute, a distributor takedown, or a regulatory referral.

Cyberharpoon built BADS-Audio — an 8-signal forensic scoring methodology adapted from the same BADS framework we use to detect bot-driven stock manipulation — specifically to close that gap. Every artist, track, or playlist we scan gets a Mark Score (0–100) built from orthogonal, source-cited signals: stream-to-listener ratio anomalies, follower/listener incoherence, geographic distribution, release velocity, track-duration clustering, related-artist network coherence, playlist-inclusion patterns, and bio/external-link disclosure.

Starting from a single artist URL, our methodology has surfaced networked manipulation clusters of 20+ artists sharing a common distributor pipeline, identified SMM vendor ecosystems with named operators, and distinguished real viral catalogs from farm operations with a documented, reproducible scoring rubric.

Key Capabilities

  • Proprietary BADS-Audio 8-signal scoring methodology adapted from Cyberharpoon's financial-market bot-detection framework
  • Stream-to-listener ratio, follower/listener coherence, and geographic-distribution anomaly detection
  • Distributor-pipeline fingerprinting — identifying shared auto-generated label imprints (e.g. TuneCore Denmark format) linking otherwise-unrelated artists
  • Network graph expansion from a single artist URL to a full related-artist manipulation cluster
  • SMM vendor watchlist intelligence — profiling the Spotify bot-stream marketplace with attribution leads to real operators
  • Source-cited, audit-ready evidence packages suitable for distributor escalation, royalty disputes, and litigation
